Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry says it will stop exporting brandy and champagne

Ukrainian Interfax News Agency reported on December 24 that the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry stopped issuing certificates for brandy, Yamai, grappa, brandy and sherry because the transition period had expired after the signing of the free trade area agreement.
The Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry website states that according to Appendix 3 of the rules of procedure of the European Parliament and the Council, the countries of origin-France, Italy and Spain-can be named using brandy, Yamal, grappa, brandy and sherry.
The first deputy chairman of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mikhail Nepland, said that in view of the expiry of the signing of the FTA agreement, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry stopped issuing certificates for brandy, Yamai, grappa, brandy and sherry. He also said that from now on, Ukraine will export wine and brandy according to the classification codes of foreign economic activity.
The Ukraine-Europe Free Trade Zone will take effect on January 1, 2016.
